3 PART SERIES:

THE ANCIENT CHINESE MARTIAL ART OF TAI CHI ( also known as TAIJIQUAN) IS RENOWN FOR ITS MANY HEALTH BENEFITS TO REGULAR PRACTITIONERS. TAI CHI HAS BEEN REFERRED TO AS “THE PERFECT EXERCISE”.
PARTICIPANTS IN THIS WORKSHOP WILL BE INTRODUCED TO THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF TAI CHI, ITS HISTORY, PHILOSOPHY AND THE FIRST SEGMENT OF THE NORTERN WU STYLE LONG FORM TAUGHT AT THE YOGA CENTER.
THE SERIES WILL BE TAUGHT BY TERESA WHITE, LONG TIME TAI CHI INSTRUCTOR AT THE LONG ISLAND CENTER FOR YOGA AND CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR OF NORTHERN WU TAIJICHUAN. FOR MORE INFORMATION THOSE INTERESTED CAN VISIT THE WEBSITE OR CONTACT TERESA @ LONGISLANDTAICHI@GMAIL.COM.
PARTICIPANTS SHOULD WEAR LIGHT SNEAKERS AND LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING. TAI CHI CAN BE PHYSICALLY DEMANDING, DESPITE ITS OUTWARD GENTLE APPEARANCE. ANYONE WITH PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS, CONDITIONS OR AILMENTS SHOULD CLEAR THE PRACTICE OF TAI CHI WITH THEIR PHYSICIAN AND BRING ANY SUCH LIMITATIONS TO THE ATTENTION OF THE INSTRUCTOR AND YOGA CENTER BEFORE TAKING TAI CHI. TAI CHI IS ALSO INTERACTIVE & MAY INVOLVE TWO PERSON EXERCISES INVOLVING PHYSICAL CONTACT.
