Long Island Center for Yoga

About Long Island Center for Yoga

Long Island Center for Yoga (LICY) is a yoga studio located in the south shore of Long Island in the Village of Babylon. LICY is bringing peace and serenity to the busy lives of Long Islanders.

Upon opening in September, 2003, Jackie Morrison, an owner and chief instructor at the studio, envisioned creating a place of healing within and for the surrounding communities. LICY is now recognized as a place to leave all your worries outside the door and return home to yourself by connecting body and breath through movement, arriving into the meditation of yoga.

All levels of students are welcomed with classes ranging from beginner to advanced. A regular on the schedule is a beginner yoga series for those entirely new to yoga but interested in becoming familiar with the fundamentals of practice. A Kripalu Center affiliate, LICY offers many styles of classes all with the mindset of honoring, respecting and listening to one’s body. All LICY teachers make modifications for the special needs of students.

Long Island Center for Yoga is a tranquil and serene studio that has no mirrors to distract students from the inward focus of their practice and the moment to moment nature of yoga. Leaving our classes you will feel relaxed, uplifted and able to respond to daily life in a more peaceful and calm way. Any questions or comments please email us or call and we will happily get back to you. As always, all are invited to visit the studio to see our space or try a class. Our schedule changes seasonally so please visit our website regularly for updated class and workshop information and for more all information on all of our class offerings including Tai Chi, Pilates, and more.

We at Long Island Center for Yoga look forward to more years of providing a place of peace for all to experience.
